Chevrolet’s electric Silverado will debut at CES 2022

When General Motors CEO Mary Barra gave Keynote opening on CES next year, he would not only kick the event – he would also reveal the Silverado Electric Chevrolet. The car maker first revealed that it was working on the electrified version of the pickup truck in April, promising EV with a range of 400 miles, which can rival Tesla 2020 remotely plus model S.

In today’s announcement, Chevrolet has also confirmed that the retail model will come with a glass roof with an increasing head room to make the interior look and feel bigger. This seems to be the first time GM makes glass roof options available for full size pickups. Chevrolet also confirms that the vehicle will be able to direct four wheels.

Silverado electricity is based on the Ultium GM platform, modular car maker technology that allows it to mix and match the battery unit and drive to shine all types of vehicles throughout the brand. Electrized Hummer GMC vehicles are also based on the Ultium platform. And, like Hummer EVS, Electric Silverado will be produced at the GM Zero factory, the new company’s Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. GM spends $ 2.2 billion to manage the factory with the equipment needed to build all types of electric vehicles.

Keynote CES 2022 Mary Barra and the Silverado debut will take place on January 5.
