Huawei V-Pencil patent hints at a killer Mate V foldable feature
Fold back with clothes again, at least thanks to the more aggressive Samsung boost from the third gen-gen-gen. While the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has the most and most controversial features, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is being painted as a more quiet success between the two. The affordability of folding clamshells might spur Samsung’s competitors to pay attention and improve their own games. Huawei, in particular, may have his shirt tricks to make Mate V clamshell more tempting.
Huawei already has a folding phone under the MATE X brand which was launched around the same time as the first Galaxy Fold. Unlike Samsung’s design, which has been attached to the “Innie” fold from the start, Huawei Mate first x wears an outer fold screen before going to switch to fold into the same in the x2 pair. So far, Huawei has not made other folding devices outside the Mate X series, but it can change immediately.
Rumors of the folded V pair began last year, showing that Huawei would stab by competing with the new Galaxy Z Flip and Motorola Razr. Of course, it’s just rumors and speculation based on the submission of trademarks, and nothing comes out of them. However, a new trademark, sort of proves that the company has not given up on the front.
According to the Letsgodigital theory, Huawei V-pencil that the company is only a trademark intended for folded v partners. The trademark does describe the electronic or stylus pen, but Huawei already has M-PENS or M-pencil for the tablet. This new trademark will indicate that it intends to use this brand for completely different purposes, maybe related to the upcoming Mate V device.
If Huawei managed to launch a folding clamshell with support for Stylus, it could have a winner in his hand. There are a number of wishes for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 also have pen support, so Huawei can find the market for it. Of course, Huawei’s problem may be on the side of the software, at least for those who are not sure of the Harmonya company.
