Vikings: Valhalla star reveals she auditioned for Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens
VIKING: Valhalla Star Frida Gustavsson has revealed that the very first acting audition is not conventional.
While others can start with indie movies or a small budget, the first actress audition is actually for Star Wars: The Force Audens. The pressure must be on.
Gustavsson, who has found fame playing freyd eiríksdóttir in spin-off vikings, has previously been a model even though it always has curiosity to act.
When he finally decided to leave his career to model him in order to hand over his hand while appearing, the first audition he landed was for the sequel to the Star Wars franchise because one of the other roles of Rey.
Speaking of Podcast Collider Ladies Night, Gustavsson revealed how he was then the modeling model in the IMG model made him an opportunity.
He said: “I have an extraordinary modeling agent in the IMG model, and he knows that I kind of out and I think he wants to help me make it easier for the bridge.
“And, of course, the first audition he made was Star Wars.”
Apart from high profile audition pressure, the actress demanded by the model added that even though it was an “extraordinary” experience, he was still happy with the role has been forwarded to Daisy Ridley.
He said: “I thought I did a pretty good job, but I wasn’t ready to do something from that scale and I was very happy that I didn’t finally get it now because I would be truly striking.
“But it’s double, you know? In a certain way, I like, wow, amazing to read the quality text and work at that level, or try to work at that level so fast.
“But also, it’s quite interesting when you approach it really green and really fresh, and you don’t really realize how much it is to do something like that and who are the people on the other side of the self-tape.”
