In New World, picking weapons is my biggest problem
Like many MMO fans, I spend a lot of time with the new world lately. While I have to play more before I can review the game, I have played more than enough to find out that I have a problem in my hand: I still don’t know which weapon I want to use. I have cycled through various weapons, and I am not much closer to the answer than me when I first started playing.
Throughout the first week the launch of New World, I constantly replaced weapons. Most days, when I entered the new world, the first thing I did was my character respec and turned my weapon. While I have some I rotate, I have trouble choosing two to stay with a significant time, and I guess I might not be alone there.
We can write it to me as a generally hesitant gamer. If you are on the same ship, then you know what I’m talking about: We are the type of person who waste time staring at our library looking for something to play or who is trapped in a more open RPG because we cannot decide to build or guess our stat distribution. If you are a hesitant gamer who plans to take a new world in the future, allow me to confirm that the same doubt you are very familiar with the possibility of attacking again when it comes time to choose a pair of weapons.
For those who do not know: new worlds offer different types of weapons, where players can use two at once. You can use the two you want, although weapons damage is also a scale with one main attribute (strength, dexterity, intelligence, and focus) and sometimes a second, so some players choose two weapons that have the same attribute as the same attribute. This is a system that is quite flexible, and therefore, players can find a rather unique partner that might not be clear when considering things like distribution and statiniats.
When New World was launched last week, I was quite sure that I would try Mage Mage using Garuntlet ice and firefighting staff, two weapons that were mainly scale with intelligence. In the days and weeks ahead of the new world liberation, my friends and I would often talk about the weapons we planned to use, and when I saw no one planned to use ice challenges and firefighting staff, I thought of me Can crash well there and play the role that I usually enjoy (Mage) while offering my group some practical crowd control capabilities with Gauntlet ice.
Even though I have played the rapier / muscycles in beta, pure Mage Build looks like it’s suitable, so that’s what I started. However, some levels later, I was tempted to return to the rapier and musket that I initially used in beta, because this was the problem: Musket, apart from other discussions about their overall uses, very satisfying to use in the new world.
I don’t know what it is, but the rifle can be the worst weapon in the new world with a long shot and I will still enjoy using it. Finally, the song Siren of the Musket won; I have thrown out my robe and hat guide and returned to being a striking and agile musketeer. With the rapier for burst damage at close range and my rifle to deal with the remote enemy of the enemy that might appear on the horizon, I feel like this will be a building that will take me through the leveling process …
Until the next day, when I realized that from 12 or more friends who played a new world, only one of us used the staff of life. Of course, this big group of friends needs more than one physician, especially if we are looking for some players vs players fighting in the open world, so I decided to drop the musketeer lifestyle and pair the staff of life with ice gauntlet. .
“Perfect building,” I said to myself one night as if I was a cartoon criminal making an important discovery for the plot. “Staff of life for healing and ice challenges to control crowds. I will never die, my friends will definitely prefer me, and I will always have a place in any group.”
