NVIDIA SHIELD TV Android 11 update might already be in the works
Although it does not mean big names on the Android market, Nvidia has gained a sufficient reputation for how so far managing TV shield devices. Even the models are almost half a decade of old continues to receive updates, something some manufacturers have been able to do. That said, Nvidia expressly gave some bad news about Android 10, but it also seems to work behind the scenes to provide a newer Android version to its users.
Even before Samsung people began to push for three years of Android updates, Nvidia had acted as a good android citizen in supporting TV Shield devices that would now be considered obsolete. However, there is always a chance that a good situation will eventually end, and at that time almost comes last month. Fortunately, it might not happen.
At the end of August, Nvidia gave disappointing news that it would not launch Android 10 to its supported devices. His thoughts are simple but maybe a bit ironic. There are not many important improvements from Android 9 to Android 10 to justify the work in improving the shield experience software. Then again, if the change is indeed small, it should also be easier to apply the experience of Nvidia’s special Android TV on it.
Even so, Nvidia did not really cover the door for the update of Android in the future, and Android police were told several activities on Reddit who confirmed it. Some posts about the 9.0.0 Android 11 shield experience have disappeared across the network, indicating that the company has started a closed closed beta phase. Of course, removing the post only implies this possibility, but increasingly urging the cause of their elimination is violating NDA.
Beta Android 11 closed does not immediately mean it will be sent later, especially if Nvidia operates to a bug showstopping it cannot squash. At least convincing to find that graphics technology giants still consider that option and it has been considered Android 11 to be a large enough upgrade to guarantee testing. It will still be one year late, considering Android 12 just crashes into AOSP, but is far better than stuck on Android 9 forever.
